God wants to heal your broken heart in a profound and permanent way. Through reading the Bible, through prayer, and through gathering with other believers, you can come to personally know God’s heart for you and intimately experience His healing love.
If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior,
you are a precious child of God.
THE BIBLE
God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible. It is filled with wonderful passages of hope and comfort.
- You may feel alone, but you’re not. The Lord is by your side, and He will never leave you or abandon you.
- Jesus knows your pain. When Jesus’ friend Lazarus passed away, Jesus wept.
- When you suffer, the Lord suffers. Grief has no timetable. God will carry you through this season.
One day in heaven, there will no longer be death, nor mourning, nor crying, nor pain. Jesus will wipe away every tear from your eyes.
“In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years.”
(Isaiah 63:9, NLT)
PRAYER
Prayer is simply talking to God like you would talk to a trusted friend. The Bible says to “pray without ceasing,” or to share your heart with Him all day long.
- God loved you enough to send His Son to die for you, and there is nothing you could do or say that would make Him love you any less.
- Through prayer, you can pour your broken heart out to God. When you call out to the Lord, even in a weak, small voice, He hears you. He is a place of safety and protection; and the Bible says He rides the heavens to your help.
- If you have received Jesus as your Savior, God has given you a Helper, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help you in prayer. He knows exactly what to say, even when you don’t.
“There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to your help, and through the skies in His majesty. The eternal God is a dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms…”
(Deuteronomy 33:26-27)
FELLOWSHIP
When you gather with other believers in your grief, God uses those He has already comforted to comfort, guide, and encourage you.
- God wants you to be a part of a Christ-centered church that teaches God’s Word. When you gather with other believers as you grieve, they will mourn with you and teach you to lean on God’s truth and His promises.
- God doesn’t want you to grieve alone. He has prepared other believers to extend the love of Jesus to you, comfort you, encourage you, and serve you. The Lord blesses these believers for ministering to you during your season of grief.

(Galatians 6:2)

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
